As part of our collaborative rights respecting work with Markethill Primary School, our steering group travelled to MPS on Tuesday 20th May to meet the Zambian rapper ‘Smack Jay’ and Miss Grand Zambia, Anna Musonda. They both advocate for rights and the importance of having respect for everyone, reminding us that we are connected beyond skin, connected beyond language and connected beyond colour. Pupils enjoyed learning some new rap and dance and learning Zambian too. Pupils will be raising money for BeyondSkin in June and these donations will go towards planting fruit trees in Zambia. Beyond Skin work to promote the Sustainable Development Goals through their activities and workshops. It was great to see our friends from MPS again too.
