October has been a busy and exciting month for our Primary 1 pupils! As autumn arrived, we explored the seasonal changes through a variety of hands-on activities. From collecting colourful leaves to crafting with conkers and pinecones, pupils have been developing their fine motor skills while learning about the world around them.
In numeracy, we’ve been focusing on numbers 1 to 5 and exploring 2D shapes through playful tasks and games. Literacy has been just as exciting — pupils have been learning new sounds, practising writing their names, and even beginning to build simple sentences using high frequency words. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they start to include their own names in their writing!
We even got to celebrate Outdoor Learning Week by gathering around our school fire pit to make delicious s’mores — a memorable experience that brought learning and fun together in the great outdoors!
