Our Primary 6 pupils have been busy developing real-life skills through an exciting enterprise project that connected learning across the curriculum. After pitching their ideas, the class decided their product would be beautifully crafted candles. In Art, they designed eye-catching logos; in Literacy, they created market research questions; and in ICT, they produced advertisements to promote their brand. Science lessons came to life as they explored states of matter while making the candles, and Numeracy skills were put to the test as they calculated costings and potential profit margins. The project culminated at St. Anne’s Craft Fair, where every candle was sold! A huge thank you to everyone who supported Primary 6 in their small business venture.
